Say you just finished a delicious meal out and were given the chance to make the bill disappear just by doing a simple chore. Would you do it? Scotch-Brite gave diners just this choice by teaming up with a local São Paulo restaurant in order to introduce their brand to younger consumers in Brazil. By offering these young diners a free meal just for washing their dishes, the brand was able to get a target demo to test out their product and, by the looks of it, have some fun as well. We’re willing to bet the dish washers didn’t keep quiet about their positive Scotch-Brite experience either, and with one simple campaign, the brand really cleaned up! (Sorry, we couldn’t resist.)

Gen Ys are so excited about the new Anchorman movie that the lastest trailer doesn’t have even one second of the upcoming film but is still being shared and watched all over the internet. Enjoy!

Louis Vuitton’s new 100 Legendary Trunks app is a perfect example of a luxury brand doing it right; incorporating their history and heritage into a modern interface, while giving Ys a taste of the Louis Vuitton archive. Well it’s, almost perfect—the iPad app costs a whopping $19 (making it the single cheapest item sold by Louis Vuitton)! We would love to see more brands incorporate brand lifestyle and tradition this way… for free.

Want some personalized advice from Don Draper? Look no further. Rookie, teen fashion blogger star Tavi Gevinson’s online magazine for teenage girls, has already gained a reputation for producing unique and honest content. The site’s “Ask a Grown Man” series posts questions submitted by teenage girls to grown men like Paul Rudd, BJ Novak, and now, Jon Hamm, who tackles heavy questions like, “Do guys care about a girl’s style?” and “Is it gross if a girl farts in front of her significant other?” His advice is simultaneously wry and heartfelt. Hamm closes with, “You’re probably all too young to watch Mad Men, so…enjoy The Hunger Games,” but we’re pretty sure it’s more than just teen girls who are watching this clip!

Vice’s new music YouTube channel Noisey has a new segment call “You Review” and this is the best one yet. Noisey filled a UK night club with little kids and had them review Grammy winning DJ Skrillex’s track “Bangarang.” Dub step reviewed by little kids needs to become a permeant fixture of the channel because their honesty and random quotes like, “The drop is when you drop being sensible,” and “This song makes me feel crazy, like I’ve eaten loads of sweets,” could not be more spot on. You also have to love the scene with the little girl passing out mints like E on the dance floor.

Filed Under: Kitty Pryde’s Okay Cupid
Sometimes these days you really can’t go by you’re first impressions on music; example: who liked Rebecca Black the first time we heard Friday? Or Lana del Rey? The same can be said for college girl-turned-Weird-rapper Kitty Pryde who may very well have come up with the lyrics to her viral hit Okay Cupid in class, on her note book. After the third listen, you can’t get the synthy back beat and whiny lyrics (she has a “princess” lip tattoo) out of your head.
“Yeah shorty you’re a ten, and I wait for your drunk dials at 3:30am, I love them.”
Whether or not you like the ditzy, girly girl raps, it’s nice to see a girl enter into the Weird Rap movement.
Filed Under: Lana Del Rey’s Carmen
With over one million views on YouTube in six days, Lana Del Rey‘shaunting Carmen is a perfect, ominous mix of the self reflection. Half Britney Spear’s Lucky and half Del Rey’s brand of self-destructive but-I-love-him theme, with low-fi cuts of images of Del Rey herself as she sings “lying to herself cuz her liquor’s top shelf” in Brooklyn and LA, keeping Del Rey’s album as our favorite guilty pleasure.

Pamela Love may usually find inspiration in the rolling plains of the southwest, but this season she was inspired by the architecture of her home city, New York. We love these architecturally-inspired gems, and that Moda Operandi is showcasing this designer.

Here at Trendera we talk a lot amongst ourselves about what it means to be a guy today. When all the “End of Man!” articles were coming out last year, an internal debate raged about whether men today are actually fine with their increased equality with women or struggling with their identities, and whether women are embracing the “new sensitive man” or craving mustachioed manly men instead. (Points of view were usually divided along generation lines.) So we’re really interesed in Morgan Spurlock’s upcoming doc Mansome. Though it looks partially tongue-in-bearded-cheek, this is a fascinating subject…and Will Arnett and Jason Batemen’s presence doesn’t hurt!

Ice cream, pancakes, and bagels may not sound very gangster in their literal form, but the latest stop-motion short from production duo BankShot makes the food do the talkin’ to classic lines from Biggie Smalls, Raekwon, Q-Tip, Method Man, and more notable rappers. Sponsored by LRG, this video serves up some platinum marketing.
