In honor of the first week of spring, we are going to keep the grill posts coming! For the apartment dweller who needs to park that grill on the fire escape: The Hot Pot Barbeque. Added bonus: fresh herbs for that grilled up dinner are right on hand.

GANT Rugger by Michael Bastian recently launched a knife. No, not a kitchenware set, but one, beautifully crafted (in collaboration with Wildfire Cutlery), limited-edition cleaver knife. The knife was the take-away from Bastian’s Fall 2012 season show over a  dinner at the Fat Radish on the Lower East Side.

Still, I can’t be the only one thinking that this is a little American Psycho, can I?

Okay, we agree that this is like really really cute, but don’t you think the succulent trend has gone a little too far? You are already being green by opting to bike in a world of lone car drivers, do you really need  tiny little plants decorating your bike frame? Seems a bit like over kill.

Ever want to collaborate with high-end designers to create clothing that is decidedly fresh and utterly you? Then, boy do we have a new internet addiction for you! Cut on Your Bias invites consumers to collaborate with designers to create limited edition collections that will only be specially released to participating members of the site. Though most of the designs are 90 percent completed once uploaded by the designers, site members will get to select the details. Do you want that bow tie to be black or navy? Felt or satin?  Members are also encouraged to send designers feedbck so that they can enter into a direct dialogue. Guess we could all become Fashion Stars.

We called the fire pit design trend when we wrote it up in our very first Trendera Files report in 2010, but clearly we need to do an update! This firepit by designer Rick Wittrig takes things to a whole nother level. The perfect firepit for 2012, even if it is a bit dark!
