The Sartorialist’s coverage of the Hermes Fall 2011 show in Paris indicated two things: that 20’s stylings and pioneer twists are both respectively upon us, and more importantly, that they are being beautifully converged into one sleek, glorious super trend. Annie Get Your Gun meets Amelia Earheart meets the Gatsbian beauty Daisy Buchanan. And we at Trendera are all for this kind of stylistic hybrid, just last week Maude baptized her laptop with a Pendleton-refitted case, we already discussed the porcupine necklaces we’re lusting after, and cloche hats just made our want list. 20s styles x pioneer chic just became new fashion trend to watch.

Sometimes a random word search on Etsy can help you discover some amazing things. These porcupine quill necklaces by Etsy artist prairieoats were discovered when we were playing around with a fashion search and typed “pioneer” into the search bar. And there they were, obsession-worthy and now the desire of everyone in the office.

Rustic-western inspired accessories (as opposed to the less inspired traditional cowboy boots and bolo ties) is a trend we’ve been picking up on lately. From camp blanket jackets to satchel style belts, and of course the general store obsession that’s continuing in retail, the settler look seems to be seeping into fashion. I’m sure there we’ll have more True Grit chic coverage to come!
