Self-proclaimed coffee fanatics Tony Konechy and Nik Bauman have created a coffee delivery service that ships quality, fresh-roasted beans directly to your door. Tonx, a twice-monthly subscription service, mails a 12 oz. bag of specially curated coffee to customers within 24 hours of roasting the beans. The $19 price tag for each bag of beans can seem expensive, but it pales in comparison to the price of a daily burnt cup of Joe from Starbucks. Tonx joins other mail-order coffee competitors, including Stumptown and Intelligentsia, who hope to solve the home brew problem by focusing on the essential ingredient to great coffee, the beans. Tonx wants to make freshly, roasted beans more accessible by sending free sample to curious caffeine addicts.
