As obsessed as we are with this seemingly Twin Peaks-inspired H&M ad featuring Lana Del Rey covering “Blue Velvet,” our voyeuristic side is just slightly more obsessed with this behind the scenes video to see what went into creating the dark sultry ad. The outfits! The hair! and makeup! The set! The midget! The entire fall/winter campaign can’t get more Lana; the video and clothes from the Swedish retailer collaboration are dripping with her unique iconic style of retro-yet-modern feminine attitude. Mohair sweaters, pastels, and the 1950s inspire the thoroughly modern collection and we predict the H&Ms of the world will soon be crowded with Lana-wannabes.
