Coexist, the new sophomore album from The xx will go on sale on September 11th, but is already streaming all of its 11 tracks on their website. Though we’re excited for the music, what’s really cool is how this website is generating buzz pre-release. The xx has partnered with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer to create a map that charts the album’s journey through digital sharing. The website tracks your location (with your permission, of course!) and places you within a network of streams being shared around the world—“Each curve begins with a tweet, e-mail or Facebook post and ends with the location of a new listener.”
