Danny Evans must have conceived his recent photography project, Planet Hiltron, in a moment of profound clarity and insight, because he’s given us all exactly what we want to see, even if we won’t admit it: too-perfect celebs turned frumpy, dumpy, and average-looking. In an interview, Evans explained that the photos are a reaction to the excessive photoshopping and retouching of celebrities, which opens up an interesting discussion about the unrealistic expectations placed on one’s appearance, not to mention our culture’s disdain for looking and being “normal.”
