It’s hard to know if Kraft was aware of the attention they would receive by posting an image of a product that doesn’t even exist on their Facebook page. This week, under the message “Proudly support love!” the brand shared a Photoshopped picture of a rainbow cream stuffed Oreo in support of gay pride. The controversial post currently has over 200,000 likes and 32,000 comments ranging from support to angry cries for a boycott of the brand. Other sites have sprung up in support of the Pride Oreo, including a petition begging Kraft to make the imagined rainbow cookie a reality. Though the feedback has been wildly divided across political lines, we give the brand props for taking a brave and public stance on a still hot button issue.
